Data and account deletion
Last updated: 2026-09-01
vitaloop is an app by Vitaloop Labs, SL, a company registered in Spain with its registered office at Carrer de París 45, Entresol, 3ª, 08029 Barcelona. This page covers two things: how to delete specific data without closing your account, and how to delete the whole account together with all its data.
Deleting only some of your data, without closing the account: in the app, go to History, press and hold any entry — a meal, a biometric reading or a supplement — and choose “Delete”. Your own recipes are deleted from their card under Recipes. Each item disappears immediately and the account stays active. If you would rather ask us, email support@vitaloopapp.com saying which data you want removed and we will do it within 30 days at the latest, in line with GDPR Article 12(3).
Deleting the account from the app (immediate): open vitaloop, go to Profile, scroll to the bottom and tap “Delete account”. You will be asked to confirm. Deletion runs immediately and cannot be undone.
Deleting the account if you cannot sign in: email support@vitaloopapp.com from the account's email address. We will verify that you are the account holder and delete the account within 30 days at the latest.
What is deleted when the account is closed: your profile and account details (name, email, age, sex, height, weight and goals); every meal you logged and its per-ingredient breakdown; all biometrics (weight, heart rate, heart-rate variability, sleep, body composition); supplements, your own recipes, workouts, cheat days and meal plans; anything you shared; your consent record; your subscription history; AI usage counters and nutrition preferences; and your profile photo, erased from storage. We also request deletion of your customer record at RevenueCat, the provider that handles subscriptions.
What is kept, and for how long. First: if your account had received an inactivity warning, we keep a minimal record of the email address, the type of notice and the date. It is not a copy of your data — it is the evidence that we honoured our inactivity-deletion commitment, required by GDPR Article 5(2), and it is kept for a maximum of 5 years. Second: if you joined the waiting list before creating an account, that email address belongs to an earlier, separate relationship and is not removed with the account — write to us if you want it removed too. Third: technical error reports may contain your internal identifier for the retention period of our diagnostics provider, after which they expire. Fourth: rotating database backups may contain your data until they age out on their own cycle.
What is kept if we are the ones deleting the account for inactivity: in that case, alongside the record above, we keep the contractual record, blocked. It holds the version of the terms you accepted and the date you accepted them, the date you signed up, the plan, and the subscription details (store, product, status and expiry date). “Blocked” means it is not used for anything operational: it is reachable only to answer a possible claim about the contract. It is kept for 5 years and then deleted automatically. It contains no usage data — no meals, no biometrics, nothing you logged — and if you close the account yourself from the app, this record is not created.
We keep no payment data, because we never receive any: purchases are processed by Apple and Google, and we only receive the product identifier and the expiry date.
